If you can compete with my Cuban grandmother, then that's really saying something. Hugo's is always recreating classic dishes and infusing them with healthier, fresher, tastier ingredients, and this dish does not disappoint! In fact, it is my go-to lunch and dinner option.
A perfect blend of protein, veggies and carbs, the Cuban Bowl meets all my nutritional needs. The plantains and unique infusion of honey, goat cheese and balsamic, give the dish a sweet, tangy and tropical flavor that is surprising and simply scrumptious!
If only my grandmother was in LA to try it; she'd undoubtedly approve!
